Making a booking
If you wish to receive more information about one of our services, please contact us through our website, by email or by Whatsapp. It is also possible to book one of our services by requesting to make a booking once again through our website, by email or by Whatsapp.
A booking is finalised with a booking confirmation and an invoice. To provide these documents, we request some personal details such as your full name(s), date(s) of birth and nationality. We also request a deposit to secure your booking.
Term and Conditions
To help us provide you with the very best services and avoid confusion and misunderstandings, we ask that you read the Terms & Conditions below carefully. By booking, making a payment towards, or participating in a jungle trek, a tour or other travel product or service with PT Ginos Bukit Lawang Adventure, you agree to the Terms that apply to that package or service in effect at the time of your booking. These Terms represent a legally binding contract.
Booking and prices
We do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information on our website, but errors may occur. Please confirm pricing and details with us prior to making a booking.
By making a booking, or otherwise purchasing any travel services offered by PT Ginos Bukit Lawang Adventure, you warrant that 1) you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation; 2) you accept and agree to all the Terms presented herein; and 3) all information supplied by you for the purposes of that booking is true, accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Prices and availability are subject to change until you make a booking and that booking is confirmed. After that, your package or service price will not change.
All advertised prices and costs are in Euro or Indonesian Rupiah, unless noted otherwise.
Deposit, payments and Refunds
A deposit, paid via one of our accepted payment methods, is required to secure your booking, which will be applied towards the cost of your booked services. Deposits vary by package and/or service, but is always minimum 20% of the total costs of your booking. Changes or customizations you request to our packages or services may require an increased or additional deposit.
Generally a paid deposit is non-refundable because with this deposit we reserve transportation, accommodation, staff, guides, permits etc. Up until one month before we could review a request for a refund, if there are any unforeseen circumstances beyond your control and you can provide us with proof of why you could not make your trip.
We accept payments (in IDR) towards your deposit or balance due by the following methods: by bank transfer through Wise, Revolut, iBanFirst, WesternUnion of any other regular bank. In some cases we also accept payment by PayPal.
The remaining amount can be paid once more by transfer or in cash (in IDR) upon arrival in Bukit Lawang. In our office at Gino’s Place it is also possible to pay by credit card. Please note that there is a surcharge of 2% for credit card payments.
Please note: It is often not possible to transfer in Indonesian Rupiah from a regular bank outside of Indonesia (or by PayPal) without paying a high fee. Indonesian banks charge an extra fee on top of this, therefore a lot of money is lost in the process. Any fees for the transfer or the conversion are to be paid by the customer.
Companies such as Wise, Revolut, iBanFirst or Western Union offer better valuta conversions and charge very low fees in comparison.
Special request and requirements
On our website we offer services such as transportation by certain vehicles and accommodation owned by us or partnering with us. Please let us know if you require any other type of transportation, accommodation or services. We also offer ‘standard’ multiple day tours which can be customized and adjusted by adding extra activities, transfers and extra nights.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary wishes. We can cater to almost any special dietary requirement.
Travelers requiring any type of special assistance must notify us of their requirements at the time of booking. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate such special needs and to notify our airline and other partners of these requirements. However, we cannot guarantee that all disabilities or difficulties can be accommodated
Travel insurance
We recommend you carry travel insurance or equivalent coverage. Just in case there are any delays during your (international) travel, any unforeseen costs (beyond your control), any damage to your belongings or any (physical) injury.
Travelling to Sumatra (and Indonesia) can be challenging. Please be aware of the risks, especially if you book a jungle trek; unpredictable behavior of wildlife; accidents caused by the forces of nature; accidents or illness in remote regions with little or no medical facilities and without any means of rapid or free evacuation. In order to keep you as safe as possible you have to abide by the rules and instructions given to you by us and our guides at all times. Please note that the tour operator is not liable for any damages or injuries suffered in consequence of anything.
